IFA Berlin - The largest tech fair in Europe!

For the first time since 2019, the IFA in Berlin was again organized on a large scale. The IFA is an annual trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances and one of the most important events to attend in order to stay informed about innovative products and technologies. This year's largest tech fair in Europe was held from September 2 to 6. A couple of colleagues from Elka Pieterman also visited the IFA.

Despite the large-scale organization of the fair, there were considerably fewer stands and visitors than before the COVID period. A number of major brands were absent as well. Nevertheless, the IFA was the perfect time for our colleagues to map out how our range can be supplemented to respond to the needs of our customers and consumers even better.

Important trend - sustainability

Given current energy costs, the trend in solar energy and energy storage was not surprising. More and more products are being developed to generate sustainable energy and to use excess capacity at home in other places. This includes solutions for areas without power, such as portable systems with foldable solar panels and mobile batteries to store solar energy.

Continuing with the theme of sustainability, it also appears that there is an increasing demand from consumers for self-repair parts and suppliers are focusing more on repair and less on the replacement market. As a wholesaler of accessories and parts, it is in our DNA to always look for sustainable solutions. As we do for our own brands, other brands are also working hard on packaging their products ecologically and reducing energy consumption.
